I bought a new Lenovo s10-2 on I received it. I checked online to register and check the warranty status and when i punched in my serial number The information showed that the warranty had already expired. My seller contacted Lenovo and was told that the online information was incorrect and I was given a phone number to call at Lenovo. After several phone calls to Lenovo and hearing people tell me that there was no warranty, I finally talked to somebody who understood the situation and entered some information on her system and told me that I do now have an up-to-date warranty.I asked her to send me an e-mail to confirm in writing that I do indeed have a new warranty. She said that she is not allowed to do that because would be a violation of security procedures. That sounds like BS to me.Is it too much to ask for a written warranty?I want Lenovo to send me a written warranty by e-mail, snail mail, pony express or whatever method that gives me the information I want.I've been trying for 3 days to register and get warranty information on a product I bought and can't get it done.

Well I'm still waiting for a resolution to my problem of not being able to get written confirmation of warranty from Lenovo and warranty details. This is ridiculous and is the kind of thing that should never be a problem.
It is almost a week since I bought the machine and this is not yet resolved. Now I have to go through the hassle of packing up my machine and returning it the retailer all because you can't send me a simple message that says your machine is in warranty. The warranty date begins on x date. The warranty ends on x date. Also, the accidental damage protection I bought, I have never received so much as an e-mail telling me thank you for your purchase.
I don't have any details on how to use the service if I ever need to use it. The customer service at Lenovo sucks. I am so sorry I ever heard the name.
