The pacing is spot on and the plotting is measured by a huge amount of action sequences, all of which fizz and crackle with skill and energy. The manager of the Continental, Winston (Ian McShane) has his own problems to deal with the Adjudicator sent by the High Table for helping Wick by giving him a one hour head start. Now John Wick is excommunicado and a $14 million bounty is placed on him. In the previous film, John Wick broke the rules and did an unsanctioned kill inside the Continental Hotel. In fact two stars from that franchise appear in this movie. John Wick 3 owes more than a passing nod to The Raid films.
